Add the code

1. In the dashboard open Widget, then Placement, and copy the code.
2. Paste it into the HTML of every page, just before </body>.
3. Upload the changed files to your website.

The sample code shows a placeholder key. Copy your own from the dashboard: Widget, then Placement.

The line loads with async, so it never holds up your page.

A PHP site with a shared footer

Many PHP sites keep the end of every page in one file, often footer.php, that each page includes. Then the line goes into that file once, and every page has it:

Each page includes the footer at its end, as it already does:

<?php include __DIR__ . '/footer.php'; ?>

The same works with any template that is shared by all pages: a layout file, a base template, or a site generator's footer partial.

Chat inside a page, or your own button

To show the chat inside one page, for example your contact page, put this where it should appear (the line from above must be on that page too):

To open the chat from a button of your own, give the button data-beacel-open:

Check that it works

Open your website once, then press Check my site in the dashboard. Not detected yet. It shows up here a few minutes after your site loads the code.
